Day 3 Giveaway - Skate board and Mind Bending Book

Welcome to Day 3 of our “12 Days of Giving” here on the “More from Lexington Family” blog.

Here’s how it works. Every day from now until December 13 we will feature a different giveaway here on the blog and we’ll also give your family a great idea for giving back in our community.

All you have to do is use the Rafflecopter widget to enter the giveaway. You can earn more than one entry for each giveaway. Just scroll down to enter.

We’ll start the giveaways around 9 a.m. every day, and announce the winner at 9 a.m. the next day. Prizes will be available at the Lexington Family office at 138 E. Reynolds Rd., Ste 201. Gift card prizes can be mailed, but larger prizes must be picked up.

GIVEAWAY

Today we’ve got a giveaway for the child in your life who can’t stop moving. It’s the “Flame Boy vs Wet Willy” Light Up Skateboard from D6 Sports.

This LED-powered skateboard features a 23” deck (max. weight 150 lbs.), a kick tail, 6 motion-activated light modes. It’s rated for kids 8 and up.

You can find them at Walmart.

Today’s winner will also get a copy of “Mind Benders” from DK Books (my favorite book company EVER!). This is a book full of “brain-boggling tricks, puzzles and illusions” with 3-D mazes, a code-breaking wheel, tangram puzzles, and bold graphics. This book is recommended for ages 7-12 and retails at $19.99 at most bookstores.

 

GIVING BACK

Our third suggestions for giving back this holiday season is The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree. The Salvation Army provides Christmas gifts for thousands of children in Lexington, Scott and Jessamine counties. Here’s how you can help them:

Using the information on the card you select as a guide, please purchase one or more new gift(s). If you are able to purchase several gifts, please consider helping more than one child. This will help with the equalization of gifts.

After Shopping, Please:

Place all UNWRAPPED Angel Tree gifts in a bag with the paper angel card/tag tied or securely taped to the outside. If possible, duplicate the name and code numbers on a piece of paper and place inside the bag.
