Day 8 Giveaway - Yummy Candle Warmer from Gold Canyon Candles

Welcome to Day 8 of our “12 Days of Giving” here on the “More from Lexington Family” blog.

Here’s how it works. Every day from now until December 13 we will feature a different giveaway here on the blog and we’ll also give your family a great idea for giving back in our community.

All you have to do is use the Rafflecopter widget to enter the giveaway. You can earn more than one entry for each giveaway. Just scroll down to enter.

We’ll start the giveaways around 9 a.m. every day, and announce the winner at 9 a.m. the next day. Prizes will be available at the Lexington Family office at 138 E. Reynolds Rd., Ste 201. Gift card prizes can be mailed, but larger prizes must be picked up.

GIVEAWAY

Do you know Gold Canyon Candles? These are high quality jar candles, tea lights and votives, warmers and scented pods and a whole variety of home fragrance products. They sell direct, through home party sales and they can help you arrange a fund raiser with their products, too.

Today our giveaway is one of the beautiful pod warmers with a yummy cranberry orange scented pod. This comes from Melissa Keenan, a local Gold Canyon dealer.

I’ve never used a warmer so I asked Melissa to tell me about the Gold Canyon ones. Here’s what she told me about their warmers: “Our pod warmers are unique because there are no light bulbs to replace, the exterior of the warmer does not get hot – only the plate on top. But because we use a high quality of paraffin, it doesn’t get as hot as other warmers might, because our wax melts at a lower temperature!  All of our warmers have timers that shut off at 4, 8 or 12 hours. Our pods are patented – it’s a no mess system! Simply take off a pod and put a new one on when you want to change your fragrance!”

GIVING BACK

There is a new organization in town that helps women who are trying to get on their feet and secure jobs, by providing them with the right clothing for interviews and work. While this isn’t specifically a holiday volunteer opportunity, its an organization that is just getting on its feet here in Lexington and can use your help and donations.

Here’s a note from the executive director:
